A vacancy exists for a reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic leader to be part of our team in our Glenorchy depot. Reporting to the Branch Manager, your key accountabilities would include

Lead a small team of depot hands/fork operators to unload and stage freight in an efficient and orderly sequence ready for the A.M operation

Process all outbound return freight in accordance with Tasmanian Couriers expectations, ensuring accurate and transparent scanning compliance is achieved

Receive and dispatch all Tasmanian freight via our line haul network to ensure DIFOT requirements are metÂ

Ensure labour costs are controlled by driving efficiencies and improvements on the PM shift

Collaborate with depot management to continually improve processes and productivity

Ensure a safety-first approach is taken to all duties carried out on the PM shift

The role can be salaried or wage based, this is for discussion.
To be considered for this position, it is essential you hold a valid FORKLIFT LICENCE. Other skills include

Previous experience in a Supervisory role highly regarded, preferably in an Express Parcels/Freight environment

Be physically fit, and well versed in manual handling techniques. Note this is a hands-on role.

MR licence is preferred but not essential,Â

Have a solid geographical knowledge of Hobart and surrounding suburbs

Previous courier experience along with hands on experience operating barcode scanners, is preferred but not essential.Â

The ability to provide a National Police check.Â

The ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
