Project Manager – Capital & Maintenance Projects
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager to join the Australian Marine Complex Common User Facility (AMC CUF) in Henderson. This role will manage a diverse portfolio of minor capital works and major maintenance projects supporting one of Western Australia’s most critical maritime and industrial precincts.
This position is offered on a fixed-term basis until end of July 2027, with the option to roll into the 2027/28 financial year.
The AMC CUF is a multi-industry, multi-user industrial facility serviced by a deep-water port, a floating dock and transfer system, specialised load out wharves, extensive laydown and assembly areas and several large fabrication halls.
About The Role
Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will deliver a portfolio of capital and maintenance projects across the AMC CUF, working closely with stakeholders and contractors to ensure safe, timely and cost effective outcomes in an operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end to end delivery of a portfolio of minor capital and major maintenance projectsCapture user and client requirements and translate them into clear scopes of workDevelop project briefs, budgets, schedules and approval documentationPrepare tender packages, evaluate submissions and award contractsCoordinate and manage contractors and consultants on siteLead project governance including risk management, reporting and forecastingConduct site inspections, audits and project meetingsMonitor performance against agreed KPIs and escalate issues where requiredBuild and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and AMC CUF usersEnsure all works are delivered in line with safety, environmental and quality standards
About You
You are an experienced, hands on Project Manager comfortable working in complex operational environments. You bring a solutions focused mindset, can manage competing priorities and engage confidently with diverse stakeholders.
You Will Bring
Qualification and/or substantial experience in Project Management, Engineering or Maintenance ManagementKnowledge of project management tools and systems (MS Project, MS Office; SAP/Power BI beneficial)Proven experience managing minor capital works and/or major maintenance projectsBackground in construction, building services, infrastructure or assets (maritime experience highly regarded)Strong contractor and subcontractor management capabilityAbility to interpret drawings, scopes and technical documentationExperience developing project schedules, cost estimates and reportsExperience working on active or operational sites
