About the role

We're seeking a passionate Support worker to join the VitalCore Support Services' team in Currimundi, QLD. In this casual role, you'll play a vital part in providing compassionate care and support to older adults and individuals with disabilities, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting clients with personal care tasks

2. Providing companionship and engaging clients in recreational activities

3. Preparing and serving meals, and supporting clients with meal planning and preparation

4. Transporting clients to appointments, social events, or other outings

5. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure clients' needs are met

6. Maintaining detailed records and documentation

7. Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and quality standards

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience in a community services or disability support role

2. Minimum of 6 months prior experience in support worker roles, preferably in aged care or disability services sector

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

4. A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

6. Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent

7. Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care, Disability Support, or related field (either qualification acceptable)

8. A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

9. Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check

10. Current NDIS worker screening clearance must be held at time of application
