About The Opportunity
NSW Health Pathology is seeking a skilled finance professional to provide strategic guidance that supports effective resource allocation and organisational performance. This role leads the development of the annual budget and business plan while maintaining ongoing oversight of financial and operational results to ensure targets are met.
Working closely with the Director of Financial Operations and Business Managers, the position plays a key role in strengthening financial governance and embedding consistent, improved business and finance practices across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing
Provide overall high level and sound advice to Management on financial management to enable the effective utilisation of resources and to achieve targeted KPI's. This includes the development of the annual budget/business plan, the ongoing review and analysis of operating and financial results.
The position works closely with the Director of Financial Operations and Business Managers to implement consistent and improved finance and business processes across NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP).

Relevant tertiary qualifications and relevant experience including current membership of a professional accounting body with a commitment to ongoing professional developmentDemonstrated excellent analytical skills and capacity to interpret financial and non-financial data (such as activity and full time equivalent data)Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines, organise and prioritise high volume workloadsDemonstrated high level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills and experience in liaison and negotiation at all levels and with a wide range of stakeholders and experience in managing and leading organisational changeSignificant experience and skills using a recognised Financial Management Information System in a large organisation, such as Oracle Financial Management System and advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
