This position will offer ongoing work for the right person. Work hours are primarily Monday to Friday, 0700-1600, however, some Saturdays and public holidays may be required. 

Approximately 6-8 weeks regional work for the year (home for the weekends) with accommodation and remuneration.  

On the job training will be provided to the correct candidate.

As a labourer with traffic management ticket, you will work as part of a small team to collect the bulk verge waste (Hardwaste and Greenwaste) for councils.

Whilst machinery is used in the collection process, your physical duties will include: 

•Frequently getting in and out of the vehicle

•Separating recyclables

•Stacking of items

•Removal of non-compliance items

•Raking

The role responsibilities include:

•Manual handling

•Vehicle Cleanliness 

•Complete daily vehicle pre-start checks

•Reporting issues to your supervisor in a timely manner

•Be a reliable and hardworking team member 

•Take responsibility for your actions

•Able to adhere to the Health and Safety requirements 

*Essential Position Requirements*

•A valid manual drivers licence

•Minimum of 1yr driving experience 

•Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

•Have both spatial and situational awareness to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

•Ability to keep up with physically demanding work on a daily basis

•Must be reliable, pro-active and have your own transportation to work.

•Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol Screening tests.

•Prior experience in the waste industry 

•Skid-steer licence 

•Refrigeration de-gassing experience
