About the Role:

Payne Diesel Services, trading as Ausdraulics Pty Ltd, is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel or Fitter and Turner, with varied experience, to join our team. This full-time position offers a mix of workshop and on-site work, supporting a wide range of clients across industries such as; mining, marine, and heavy machinery. We specialise in hydraulic system & diesel engine repairs/overhauls. Priding ourselves on delivering expert workmanship and quality service. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Overhauling hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and power units in our fully equipped workshop

• Performing field service and breakdown work at Local and Remote Client Locations

• Completing engine repowers and overhauls—primarily with Deutz, Perkins and Off-Highway Mercedes engines

• Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems + hosing on a wide range of equipment

• Component overhauls

• PTO and Grease system installs and diagnostics.

What We’re Looking For

• Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter or Fitter and Turner (or equivalent experience)

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic & grease systems, cylinders, and pumps

• Confident in diagnostics and fault-finding

• Ability to work independently, especially on breakdown and minesite service work

• Experience with Deutz, Perkins and Off-Highway Mercedes engines (advantageous)

• Solid commitment to safety protocols and high-quality workmanship
