We are seeking a passionate and experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of our Workforce Australia contracts in the Cairns and Townsville region.

This is a dynamic leadership role offering the opportunity to drive performance, support teams, and improve employment outcomes for job seekers in regional and remote communities.

This role will be based in either Carins or Townsville region and will require travel to each region.

About the Role

As the Employment Services Manager, you will:

• Lead and manage high-performing teams across multiple sites
• Ensure contract compliance and achievement of performance targets
• Foster strong stakeholder relationships with employers, government agencies.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across employment programs
• Provide strategic oversight and on-the-ground support during the expansion of services

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of Workforce Australia in Cairns and Townsvillle
• Coach and develop staff to ensure quality service delivery and participant outcomes
• Analyse data and report on performance metrics to inform strategy
• Uphold organisational values and a culture of excellence and accountability

You bring strong leadership capability and a deep understanding of employment services in Australia. You are results-driven, people-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced, outcomes-oriented environment.

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience in employment services or related field and possess a valid WWCC
• Knowledge of Workforce Australia and/or Transition to Work programs
• Strong operational and people management skills
• High-level communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Ability to travel regularly to sites in Cairns, Townsville as required.
