We are looking for an energetic and coffee-passionate Barista & Front of House All-Rounder to join our team. This is a fast-paced role where you’ll be the face of our cafe, balancing the art of the perfect pour with exceptional customer service.
Whether you’re dialing in the grinder or greeting a regular by name, you play a key role in creating the atmosphere our community loves.
Key Responsibilities
- Coffee & Beverages: Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages consistently.
- Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide menu recommendations.
- FOH Operations: Manage the POS system, handle cash/card transactions, and ensure efficient table service.
- Food Handling: Serve breads and salad meals, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintenance: Keep the coffee station, dining area, and equipment (grinder/espresso machine) clean and organized throughout the shift.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen and floor staff to ensure smooth service during peak "rush" periods.
Skills & Experience
- Barista Expertise: Minimum 1 years of experience in a high-volume environment. Proficiency in milk texturing.
- Efficiency: Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- Communication: Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on building customer rapport.
- Reliability: Punctual and available to work [early mornings/weekends/public holidays].
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of coffee beans, roast profiles, and equipment maintenance.
