Bright Light Agri Pty Ltd is a significant Australian agriculture business specializing in almond growing. The company operates large-scale orchards and processing facilities in the Sunraysia region of Victoria, including areas around Hattah and Mildura. The business requires a qualified, full-time Operations and Financial Analyst to provide budget and forecasting analysis, regular management reporting, and data to assist senior management with business planning and initiatives.

Salary offered is $76,515pa plus super.

The Operations and Financial Analyst is responsible for:

· Generating regular business reporting to senior management

· Providing cashflow and financial risk analysis to senior management to assess new land, water rights and other business capital purchases

· Having a comprehensive understanding of the fruit production business - providing senior management with budget analysis, forecasting for long term planning and sensitivity analysis

· Providing data to external accountants for the preparation of financial statements

· Accurately estimating and controlling income, expenditure and operating cost for the almond business

· Reconciling transactions and financial data to the company’s accounting system

· Ensuring accuracy and legal compliance of internally produced financial information and reports

· Assisting with export paperwork for almond exports and liaising with overseas clients, customs and logistics companies, understanding the economy and providing insight into overseas export markets

· Critically analysing business and financial data to convert them into actionable insights

The applicant must have the following skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in commerce/economics or relevant discipline

· At least 1 year of full-time work experience in management accounting, budget analysis, financial analysis

· Strong commercial acumen and critical analysis skills

· Experience in-house in the agriculture industry or an industrial setting is preferred
