Are you passionate about creative marketing, art promotion and event delivery! This tailored traineeship will align with your unique skills and interests. As part of the Arts Culture & Heritage Traineeship, you’ll have the opportunity to work across various Bass Coast Shire Council Cultural Venues, The Union and Berninneit Cowes, enhancing your expertise in assisting with exhibitions and events, marketing and business administration. You will gain experience working within a highly creative arts marketing team. This is a hands-on, dynamic opportunity to grow your career in the arts sector.

  • Full-time 12-months fixed term commencing March 2026
  • Achieve a Certificate III qualification and valuable practical experience
  • Start your career in Local Government with Bass Coast Shire Council

The successful applicant will have

  • Ability to complete a Certificate III in Business
  • Enthusiasm for self-development and desire to use this opportunity to enhance career prospects
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Completion of Year 12 (VCE) or equivalent
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including after hours and weekends at various venues across Bass Coast Shire Council

Westvic are partnering with Bass Coast Shire Council to offer 7 exciting Traineeships. Each Trainee will experience real-life work scenarios in their chosen area of interest. There will be exciting projects, exposure to systems and processes with real customers and community members to assist.

Explore different pathways, gain credible experience, build connections, make friends, and gain an industry specific Certificate III in Business qualification working as a Trainee.
