About the role

Andrew Walter Constructions is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator holding, at a minimum, a Medium Rigid licence to join our team on a full-time basis in Hobart, Tasmania. In this pivotal role, you will operate a 5-tonne excavator and truck to support our infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing

• Operate and maintain an excavator to high standards

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant machinery on construction sites

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on the equipment as required

• Work closely with the construction team to complete projects on time and to specification

• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Relevant experience as an Excavator Operator, ideally in the civil construction industry

• Valid licences to operate the required equipment

• Strong understanding of plant machinery maintenance and repair

• Commitment to working safely and efficiently

• Good communication and teamwork skills
