About The Role

As the Science Technician, you will contribute to the effective and efficient management of the school science department by providing technical and administrative support. You will work independently within established guidelines to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities Include

Preparing and maintaining scientific teaching resources, equipment, and materials for practical laboratory use.Safely managing chemical hazards and maintaining laboratory safety protocols.Supporting science teaching staff with demonstrations, experiments, and STEM initiatives.Organising and prioritising tasks to support student learning outcomes effectively.Maintaining accurate records of inventory, equipment, and laboratory protocols.

This role would suit an organised and proactive individual with a passion for science and education, who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

About You

The following traits would be beneficial:

Experience in laboratory operations and handling scientific equipment.Knowledge of chemical safety and laboratory protocols.Strong organisational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and solve problems innovatively.Interest in promoting STEM initiatives and supporting student engagement.
