The Role in Brief:
We are seeking a qualified Licensed Surveyor, preferably experienced at working in a senior position, with subdivisional experience. Ideally, they need to be able to manage subdivision projects from start to finish and be capable of drafting Deposited Plans (DP's). Remuneration will be attractive and negotiated based on your role suitability.

Role Overview:
The Senior Licensed Surveyor is responsible for leading and managing complex surveying projects, ensuring all deliverables meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. This role involves planning and executing surveys, supervising field teams, and managing client relationships to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy. Additionally, the Senior Licensed Surveyor mentors junior surveyors and contributes to the continuous improvement of surveying practices within the business. This role requires an experienced, licensed professional who can provide technical expertise, lead project teams, and uphold company standards across diverse project types.
Key Responsibilities
1. Survey Project Planning and Execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans for complex surveys, defining scope, timelines, and technical requirements in alignment with client specifications.
- Lead field teams in executing surveying tasks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines.
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and processing to ensure survey deliverables meet required standards and are ready for client submission.
2. Quality Control and Compliance
- Implement quality control protocols across all survey projects to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of fieldwork and data processing to maintain high standards and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure all surveys comply with legal and industry standards, providing certification for completed work as required.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary contact for clients on complex projects, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Manage client expectations by clearly communicating project deliverables, timelines, and adjustments, ensuring alignment with their needs.
- Conduct project review meetings with clients to gather feedback, maintain satisfaction, and foster long-term partnerships.
4. Team Leadership and Mentoring
- Supervise and mentor junior surveyors, providing technical guidance, support, and feedback to foster professional growth.
- Set performance expectations for survey team members, monitor their progress, and conduct regular evaluations.
- Promote a collaborative and high-performance culture, encouraging adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
5. Technical Support and Continuous Improvement
- Provide technical expertise and support to survey teams on complex technical issues, troubleshooting equipment, and interpreting data.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying enhancements in surveying methods, tools, and technologies.
- Collaborate with the Chief Technical Officer and other senior staff to implement best practices and technological advancements.
Specific Surveying Responsibilities
Field Operations and Equipment Management
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of survey equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability for all fieldwork.
- Ensure all equipment is utilised efficiently and is fit for purpose, coordinating with the technical team for repairs or replacements as needed.
- Conduct pre-survey site evaluations to determine the best methods and equipment for each project.
Survey Data Management and Reporting
- Oversee data collection, processing, and validation to ensure deliverables meet technical and quality standards.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and survey documentation for client review, ensuring all findings are clearly presented and well-supported.
- Review final survey outputs before submission to ensure all data is accurate, complete, and compliant with project specifications.
