About the role

This full-time Duty Manager role at the Tugun Tavern, part of the McGuire Hotels' group, is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key leadership position in a thriving hospitality business. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel and ensuring a consistently exceptional experience for all guests. Based in the vibrant coastal town of Tugun, Queensland, this role offers excellent career development prospects within a dynamic and growing hospitality group.

What you'll be doing

• Managing and coordinating the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding customer service

• Monitoring and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and health & safety compliance

• Handling customer inquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional and efficient manner

• Assisting with the planning and execution of hotel events and functions

• Supporting the Hotel Manager with financial management, staff rostering and other operational duties

What we're looking for

• Substantial experience (3+ years) in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry

• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team

• Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities

• Knowledge of hotel operations, including food & beverage procedures

• Proficiency in using hotel management software and Point-of-Sale systems

• A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving continuous improvement

• Flexible attitude to working shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays
