The Role:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation and execution of digital and print design assets across all channels under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer and the Creative Manager.
This highly varied role is essential in shaping the look and feel of the visual aspects, which will be distributed across all mediums and designed to connect with all audiences. Our ideal candidate will be able to take direction and work independently, have a creative flair with an excellent eye for detail and be a visionary thinker, who will settle perfectly into this culturally driven and innovative team.
This is a full-time head office-based role.
Key Responsibilities:
Create innovative ideas to visually communicate the GLL brand objectives and valuesMaintain the optimal condition of logos, typography and layoutsProvide presentations on fonts, colour palettes, and art direction ideas for campaigns and launches and content strategiesConcept and development of brand stamps and all creative output for new collections and boutique collateralAssist with editing of photography and video content including retouching, colour grading, resizing and uploadingEnsure consistency of visual and brand content including the output on social media Creative storytelling and production of video content across social media and advertisingProvide guidance on daily task priorities to Junior Graphic DesignerExecute graphic design including print and digital sales and advertising collateral, EDMs, marketing and social media collateral, and internal company collateralUpdating training and style guides with new products and contentCreating and maintaining staff email signatures and ordering of business cardsDesign of advertising material (social media, Google, print, event, product, collection and brand)Assist in the maintenance and management of the website with regard to the update of graphics, content, product pages, categories and featured productsDesign of banners, blog, brand storytelling and graphics
Essential Knowledge/Behaviours:
Degree in a Graphic Design/Website Development/E-Commerce and experience in the industryExpert knowledge of all Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro and Acrobat3+ years as a Graphic Designer CRM knowledge working with Klaviyo Strong Microsoft Suite skills Ability to HTML code, design & develop for webKnowledge of CMS platforms (Eg. Shopify+ is advantageous) Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest)Thorough understanding of graphic design trends and best practiceDemonstrates effective time management and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentA high attention to detail with impeccable written and oral communication skills is essentialAbility to meet daily goals and deadlinesAbility to effectively contribute to brainstorming and other idea generation activitiesAbility to inspire others and work independently or collaboratively within a team environmentAlignment with the Grace Loves Lace Mission and Values
