About The Role
Lead the operational functions of the Grampians Public Health Unit, supporting high‑quality, safe and timely public health services across health protection, population health and emergency response. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys complex coordination, and brings strong system‑thinking to public health delivery. You’ll work closely with division leads and the Director Population and Public Health to drive efficient operations across the region.
What You’ll Do
Oversee day‑to‑day public health operations across GPHUSupport Director and division leads with operational planningShape systems, structures and processes for effective service deliveryLead workforce planning, onboarding and staff developmentManage reporting, budgets and resource allocation
Key Responsibilities
Provide operational leadership across the GPHU and wider public health networkManage GPHU workflows to meet Department of Health requirementsImplement strategic and business plans with the DirectorOversee workforce planning, rostering, recruitment and trainingLead operational, performance, financial and acquittal reportingSupport public health functions: protection, prevention, surveillance, outbreaks and emergency response
Skills & Experience
Strong operational leadership in health settingsSkill in workforce and resource coordinationConfident with budgets, reporting and complianceAble to support public health functions and teamsClear communicator with stakeholder engagement skill
