Our Spiritual Care Coordinator plays a vital role in offering compassionate, person-centred care. You’ll be part of creating a truly holistic care experience, supporting individuals to connect with meaning, purpose, and community.

This is a dynamic position to work across multiple SCC locations, with the flexibility to work part-time through to full-time hours.

This is a hands-on, meaningful role where your skills and presence have a direct, positive impact on people’s lives. Every day brings variety and purpose, whether providing one-on-one support, coordinating memorials and reflections, or mentoring volunteers who contribute to resident and client wellbeing.

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing tailored emotional and spiritual supportSupporting individuals through grief, illness, and end-of-life experiencesHelping people connect with what gives them meaning, purpose, and comfortPlanning and coordinating memorial services, reflections, and visits from community groupsSharing wellbeing insights through care planning, meetings, and documentationRecruiting, mentoring, and supporting volunteers who contribute to resident and client wellbeing

Schedule: 32hrs fortnight, any day of Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Requirements

What you bring

Minimum 1 Unit of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) or equivalentExperience in aged care pastoral/spiritual careUnderstanding of person-centred care principlesCompassionate and reflective listener with strong interpersonal skillsExperience supporting volunteers in a care setting (Desirable)Qualification in training and education (Desirable)
