Our client is an independent insurance brokerage based on the Gold Coast, specialising in both personal and commercial insurance solutions. The business is led by an experienced Managing Partner with over 15 years in the general insurance industry and is supported by a knowledgeable, friendly, and professional team.

Overview of the Role

The Insurance Processing Officer will provide essential administrative and processing support across domestic insurance policies. This role focuses on renewals, new business quotes, remarkets, compliance, and general insurance administration.

This position is well suited to an experienced insurance administrator or processing professional seeking permanent part-time work with flexibility, including school hours or reduced days, while remaining engaged in meaningful and structured insurance work.

You will work closely with the Managing Partner and Account Executive, with training, guidance, and support provided. Systems are well established and easy to learn for someone with insurance industry exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter new client and policy details accurately into the insurance broking system
  • Process new business and renewal quotes across domestic insurance products
  • Obtain and compare quotes from insurer platforms and prepare recommendations
  • Issue invoices and ensure all policy documentation is accurate and complete
  • Manage renewals, remarkets, and compliance-related documentation
  • Save and maintain records within the document management system
  • Email invoices, policy documents, and compliance information to clients professionally
  • Assist with general administrative tasks including filing, claims support, and phone enquiries
  • Ensure all processing is completed in line with company procedures and industry standards

Overview of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced in insurance administration or processing. You take pride in accuracy, follow processes carefully, and enjoy supporting a team in delivering excellent client service.

You are comfortable managing multiple tasks, working to deadlines, and handling sensitive information with discretion. While formal qualifications are beneficial, they are not essential for the right candidate with the appropriate experience and attitude.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Two to three years of experience in the insurance industry or a similar processing role
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Experience processing renewals, quotes, and insurance documentation
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks

Desirable

  • Knowledge of domestic insurance products (home, motor, caravan, boat)
  • Experience using insurance systems, particularly Winbeat
  • Tier 2 qualification (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Familiarity with insurance compliance and regulatory requirements
