About the role

The role of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Lead is to facilitate a positive workplace experience for team members from diverse backgrounds across Barwon Health and contribute to building an inclusive workplace for all employees. This will be achieved by the successful implementation of Barwon Health’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) action plans, complemented by effective consulting, influencing and facilitation skills. 

You will lead the development of strategy that reflects Barwon Healths values with regard to recruitment, retention, inclusion, engagement and development of key target groups to create an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.

An integrated approach to diversity, equity and inclusion requires oversight of Barwon Health’s Workforce Inclusion Framework, ensuring cooperation, collaboration and consultation around the following action areas:

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
