We are looking for a warm, motivated and culturally grounded Human Resources (HR) Advisor to join our team. This role is more than policies and processes, it's about supporting our people, creating a safe workplace and helping our organisation grow in a way that reflects WTOAC'S Culture and values.
About the Role
As a HR Advisor you will support our people and leaders through the everyday realities of working life. You will provide trusted, practical HR advice, support managers to lead well, and help ensure workplace matters are handled fairly, respectfully and in culturally appropriate ways.
In this role you will:
Be a visible, trusted HR advisor working closely with employees and leaders across the organisationProvide practical, people-centred advice that supports fair, respectful and culturally safe workplacesSupport leaders to navigate complex people matters with confidence and careBalance organisational requirements with compassion, cultural safety and integrityWork collaboratively with the HR Team to support a positive employee experience
Key responsibilities
Provide HR advice on performance management, conduct, attendance and wellbeing mattersSupport the resolution of staff concerns, complaints and grievances in a timely, respectful and culturally appropriate wayAdvice on organisation policies, procedures, awards and employment legislationSupport culturally safe workplace practices aligned with self determinationAssist with employee wellbeing initiatives, including coordination of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Support professional development planning and training coordination in collaboration with team leadersMaintain accurate and confidential HR records, case notes and documentation in line with organisational, legislative and privacy requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who not only brings HR experience but also cares deeply about people and culture.You have HR qualifications or demonstrated in an HR Advisory or generalist roleAn understanding of Australian employment legislation, awards and best practiceKnowledge of OH&S and Safe workplace practicesYou are a respectful communicator who values culture, inclusion and integrityYou are organised, have attention to detail, and can manage competing deadlinesSound knowledge of Microsoft Office, and experience in Employment Hero would be advantageous
