About the RoleSenior Application Developer is responsible for sustaining and enhancing existing systems using best practices, tools, and technologies through code and configuration changes. The position will also provide customer and production support, while implementing change requests to support ongoing projects and business needs.

Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesImplement detailed and complex change requests through code and configuration updatesDevelop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutionsReview and test complex software code developed by peers when requiredWork closely with QA teams to support testing activities and resolve defectsDevelop and maintain integration and unit testsAssist in assessing and analyzing requirements for change requestsProvide production and application support when requiredReview code for accuracy, performance, and functionalitySupervise, mentor, and train new team members

Requirements and ExperienceMandatory ExperienceMinimum 5+ years of professional software development experienceExtensive backend development experience using the following:C# and .NET frameworkProven experience building and consuming APIs using web servicesStrong understanding of software design patterns and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)Solid experience with source control systems such as Git and SVNDefence experience highly desirable.

Desirable Experience & KnowledgeDevelopment experience with SQL Server databaseFrontend development experience using JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworksAbility to manage multiple priorities and troubleshoot issues efficientlyExperience working in Agile development environmentsHands-on experience with JIRA and ConfluenceStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent time management and organisational skillsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Programming, or a related discipline
