Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.

An exciting opportunity is available to join as a Ward Clerk for Hawkesbury's Administration and Patient Services Department. We are looking for customer service driven candidates who are passionate about enhancing the patients’ journey whilst providing efficient and effective support to our frontline health care professionals. The role requires excellent communication skills and a high degree of accuracy to ensure provision of consistent, high quality customer service as a person of first contact via telephone, email enquiries, and personal contact with clients.

As a Ward Clerk, you will be responsible for reception duties, handling medical records, and accurately entering patient transactions into the hospital’s Patient Administration System (iPM). You will play an important part in supporting the patient journey by coordinating admissions, transfers, and discharges, maintaining up-to-date records, and ensuring essential documentation is completed throughout each shift.
