Tahmoor Inn is entering an exciting new chapter! With major renovations underway and the opening of our brand-new kids’ playground, we’re building a venue that will become the heart of the local community — a place for families, friends, and celebrations of every kind.

When renovations are complete, our new-look venue will feature a modern bistro and function areas with seating for over 600 guests, including dedicated function rooms designed for events both large and intimate. Tahmoor Inn will combine country pub charm with contemporary design, offering a warm, family-friendly atmosphere and memorable dining experiences.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. This role offers the chance to make a lasting impact — helping guide the reopening phase, assist to recruit and train the team, and establish operational excellence across our bistro, bar, and function spaces. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a rare opportunity to take ownership in recreating this community centric venue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train, lead, and inspire a new team across bistro, bar, and function operations.

  • Develop and implement effective operational procedures for food and beverage service.

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth service and consistent guest satisfaction.

  • Assist the Functions Manager to coordinate venue bookings, functions, and events to ensure seamless execution.

  • Manage budgets, monitor costs, and drive profitability across all departments.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.

  • Uphold exceptional customer service standards and foster a positive guest experience.

  • Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to plan promotions and special events.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Manager or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume venue.

  • Strong leadership and team development skills.

  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

  • Attention to detail in bar and room setups.

  • Sound understanding of FOH and BOH service flows.

  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on environment and lead through change.

  • Passion for creating great experiences for guests and team members alike.
