Bread Social is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our head office team on a casual basis. This role is ideal for someone currently studying a Cert IV in Bookkeeping and/or Business Administration, who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, fast-paced business.

Bread Social operates across multiple locations in Northern NSW and the Gold Coast, producing sourdough, pastries, and baked goods using quality ingredients. Our office team plays a vital role in supporting our people, customers, and operations.
About the Role
Working closely with our Office Manager and Orders Team, you’ll provide administrative and bookkeeping support across the business. This is a great opportunity to build practical skills in accounts, systems, and office operations within a hospitality group. The role will start as a casual position, ranging between 8-24 hours/week. Opportunity for growth in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounts Support
- Assisting with accounts payable and invoice processing
- Supporting day-to-day accounting tasks such as data entry and reconciliations
- Assisting the Office Manager with general finance administration
General Administration
- Drafting, editing, and maintaining internal documents, procedures, and records
- Filing and maintaining organised electronic and physical records
- Managing key dates, documents, and general office administration tasks
- Assisting with office organisation, stationery, and supplies
Customer, Orders & Team Support
- Assisting with customer orders, enquiries, and amendments
- Supporting invoicing processes for wholesale customers
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth administrative support
- Providing ad-hoc assistance across Operations, HR, and other departments
About You
- Currently studying a Cert IV in Bookkeeping and/or Business Administration
- Some exposure to bookkeeping or accounts (through study, placement, or work experience)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident with systems and willing to learn new software (Xero, Cybake, Excel experience advantageous but not essential)
- Reliable, proactive, and keen to develop your skills in an entry-level role
