VIP Immigration is recruiting on behalf of VIP Catering Pty Ltd, operator of Café Dolcetto, and is seeking an experienced and motivated Cooks / Chefs to join the kitchen team at its Yass, NSW location. This role suits a hands-on culinary professional with strong experience in breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, and proven ability to prepare modern Australian, Western, and Italian cuisine to a high standard in a commercial kitchen environment. The business prides itself on consistency, fresh ingredients, and maintaining professional kitchen standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
- Hands-on preparation of modern Australian, Western, and Italian menu items
- Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation meet business standards
- Assist with daily kitchen operations and service preparation
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in accordance with Australian regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
- Comply with workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Cook or Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Hands-on experience in breakfast and lunch service is essential
- Proven experience in modern Australian, Western, and Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented approach to work
Position Details Position Details: The role available is a full-time Cooks / Chefs position located at Café Dolcetto in Yass, NSW. The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time basis and will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from AUD $76,000 to $86,000 per annum, plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
