About the Role

Kurrawa Surf Club is seeking an experienced, hands-on Duty Manager to lead operations during trading hours and ensure our members and guests enjoy a safe, welcoming, and high-quality club experience ️.

As Duty Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of club operations including customer service, staff leadership, compliance, cash handling, gaming, safety, and security. This role suits a confident hospitality professional who leads from the floor, makes sound decisions under pressure, and takes pride in running a well-organised shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all club operations during your shift

• Maintain a strong floor presence, supporting and directing staff

• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve patron enquiries and complaints

• Ensure compliance with RSA, RCG, WHS, and Registered Clubs legislation

• Oversee gaming operations, promotions, and responsible gambling practices

• Manage staffing levels, breaks, and shift adjustments

• Oversee cash handling, safes, banking, and financial controls

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation

• Manage incidents, first aid situations, and security matters professionally

• Complete reports, checklists, and shift handovers

About You

You’re a calm, capable leader who thrives in a fast-paced club environment and understands the responsibility of being “in charge” of a shift.

You will bring:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality or club operations

• Proven Duty Manager or supervisory experience

• Strong knowledge of RSA, RCG, and WHS compliance

• Experience with cash handling, gaming, and operational controls

• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills

• High personal presentation and a customer-first mindset

• Availability across mornings, evenings, weekends & public holidays

• Current RSA & RCG

• Current RMLV
