About us EMI Tweed are trusted local Tweed Heads builders and painters delivering superior outcomes for our valued clients. Our company incorporates EMI Homes and EMI Maintenance to provide one point of contact for all the building, maintenance and painting services you need in one convenient place. We are currently looking for a skilled painter to join our team on a full-time basis.
About you The successful candidate will play a part in a team of hardworking professionals. This is a dynamic and varied role, and you will be expected to deliver high quality service to a varied range of clients.
The duties you will perform include:
- Prepare walls and other surfaces through sanding, taping off outlets, repairing cracks, etc.
- Mix and apply paint, varnishes, and necessary solvents.
- Use a variety of tools to achieve the desired finish of painted surface.
- Set up and take down additional equipment as needed.
- Maintain all tools and equipment.
- Perform final inspection to ensure quality and accuracy of work.
- Adhere to workplace safety rules and regulations.
Position requirements
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
- Minimum 2 years of work experience (5+ years highly preferred)
- Attention to detail and focus on finishing tasks to a high standard
- Ability to liaise and build upon relationship with clients
- Organisational skills and cleanliness
- Punctual and reliable
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
Position type: Full-time Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum
