We are pleased to offer opportunities for casual farm hands to join our team at our Maryborough macadamia orchards. We’re seeking reliable, self motivated and hardworking individuals who take pride in their work, prioritise safety, and enjoy contributing to an outdoor, hands on environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a member of our team, reporting to the Orchard Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in all aspects of general farm work, including maintenance, repairs, and identifying safety hazards
  • Assisting with the installation of irrigation systems
  • Planting and pruning
  • Operating farm machinery, with training provided on-site
  • Assisting with the application of herbicides and pesticides
  • Working precisely to ensure compliance with work health and safety standards
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment

Requirements

  • You will hold a C class drivers’ licence (essential)
  • You will be flexible, reliable, and available to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands (with potential for Saturday work)
  • A positive, can-do attitude is essential
  • Attention to detail, in machinery, orchard work and safety
  • You will have experience working on a farm (preferred but not essential)
  • A holder of a Chemical Users Certificate (preferred but not essential)
  • Certificate II or III in Rural Studies or Horticulture or Agriculture (preferred but not essential)
