We are proud to have recently joined Harmony Australasia. Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is currently preparing to progress the Execution Phase of the Eva Copper Mine Project in QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.
About the roleFollowing a recent promotion, we now have an opportunity for a Mill Supervisor to join our Processing Plant.
You will be responsible for:
Ensuring safety related documentation is completed in a timely fashion by all crew members (SLAMs, JSA, and Permits to Work, RA and Incident Reports)Monitoring plant to ensure standards are being met and ensuring corrective actions are completed by the crewEnsuring the plant is clean and ready for any maintenance works as per the weekly planMonitoring plant utilization and taking corrective action to ensure the planned targets are achievedLiaising with training department to arrange training and to ensure training plans are adhered toConducting hands on training as required and developing skills and abilities of teamCommunicating timely and accurate information to Processing Superintendent and Metallurgy DepartmentEnsuring shift documentation is completed on time and accurate (Shift logs, shift reports, TSF Inspections, work requests) and all variations to the guidelines are reportedEnsuring crew practices and behaviour complies with company, Legal and Ethical standardsEnsuring operator management (leave entitlement, performance, training)Driving operational discipline including housekeeping practicesAchieving KPI’s as per weekly plan (planned vs. actual)
About YouPrevious experience in a supervisory/leadership roleMinimum 4 years experience in a mineral processing plant, preferably copper or base metalsExcellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skillsA strong commitment to training, mentoring and development
