About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Accounts Officer to join our team in NSW. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer/Manager to join our Account & Finance team. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate record keeping, and supporting financial compliance for our community services.

You will be responsible for:

Prepare and process fortnightly payroll.

Accounts Receivable and Accounts payable.

Process Direct Debits.

Reconciliations, journals and other accounting tasks required to ensure reliable and accurate financial records.

Issue invoices on timely basis.

Collaborate with the Director to assess financial impact and guide business decisions.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

Continuously improve financial systems and processes to support business growth.

Oversee financial statements, tax filings and regulatory compliance (Payroll tax, BAS, Workers Compensation, Superannuation).

Other duties as directed by the immediate Supervisor.
What you will need to succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum 2, preferably 5 or more years of relevant accounting work history

Proficiency with accounting software (Xero), Flowlogic.Customer Record Management CRM software

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Understanding of NDIS, aged care funding, or government reporting (desirable)
