The role

As the Land Development Officer, you will be the key point of contact for external stakeholders regarding property related queries. The role involves reviewing, calculating, and applying charges in relation to sewer connection, water main tapping, fire services, backflow prevention and metering requirements to ensure financial sustainability and protection of Gippsland Water’s assets.

You will also help maintain Gippsland Water’s Information Systems by ensuring billing records are accurate and up to date.

We’e looking for someone with a customer focused approach, an engaging communication style and strong corporate systems skills. You’ll enjoy investigating issues, assessing options and making balanced recommendations to ensure compliance and standards are met, while contributing to the broader team and providing best value service.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in interpreting and applying legislative, regulatory and policy requirements and guidelines to make objective decisions to complex issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the team’s success.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to deliver complex information to a diverse range of audiences.
  • Experience in resolving customer enquiries and complaints and managing customer relationships.
