About the role

We're looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen hand Cook to join our team at Simple Catering Kitchen in Nerang. In this casual role, you'll be responsible for assisting our chefs with food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties to support the efficient operation of our busy catering kitchen. The role is expected to be around 20-25 hours a week to start, but we are growing rapidly.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and portion ingredients for menu items

2. Assist chefs with cooking and plating of meals

3. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

4. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met

5. Restock and monitor kitchen supplies and equipment

6. General cleaning including dishes (This is not a dishwasher only role)

7. Delivering meals in a company vehicle

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a kitchen hand or in a similar role

2. Good communication and teamwork skills

3. Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions

4. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

5. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn

6. A valid driver's license

7. Reliablity and flexibility
