Kleinig Constructions is a residential builder delivering high-quality custom homes, extensions and renovations across the Fleurieu Peninsula region.

We’re looking to connect with carpentry team members at various stages of their career who enjoy working directly with a builder and being involved in the wider construction process — not just one narrow task.

This role suits someone who values quality workmanship and wants exposure to how a residential project comes together as a whole.

About the role

Depending on your experience, the role may include:

• Framing and structural carpentry

• Fix-out and finishing carpentry

• A variety of hands-on building tasks across different stages of construction

• Working closely with the Builder and an experienced Leading Hand

• Exposure to sequencing, coordination and on-site problem-solving

We run organised sites with realistic programmes and a strong focus on doing things properly the first time.

Apprentice Carpenters

• Keen to learn and build a broad skill set

• Reliable and willing to work

• Interested in understanding the full residential building process

Qualified Carpenters

• Trade qualified

• Consistent and reliable

• Take pride in workmanship and site presentation

• Enjoy variety and learning beyond core carpentry

Leading Hand Carpenters

• Strong carpentry background

• Able to lead by example on site

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Interested in increased responsibility over time

Pay (indicative)

• Apprentice: based on award

• Qualified Carpenter: $37–$43 per hour + super

• Leading Hand: negotiable based on experience

Projects are based around Victor Harbor, with minimal long-distance travel.
