What's the Role:

As a Fettler, you'll play a hands-on role in our Aftercast team, ensuring cast products are finished to the highest standard before despatch. Reporting to the Aftercast Supervisor, you'll carry out fettling operations, maintain equipment, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment.

You'll be responsible for daily equipment checks, visual inspections of castings, and maintaining housekeeping standards. You'll also support safety initiatives, follow site procedures, and work collaboratively with your team to meet production goals.

Your Impact:

  • Perform fettling operations including grinding and finishing of castings
  • Use hand and power tools to carry out maintenance and finishing tasks
  • Complete daily prestart checks and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in line with Bradken standards
  • Support safety initiatives and participate in incident investigations and audits
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to team goals

You Bring:

  • Experience as a Fettler or in a similar role using hand and power tools
  • Understanding of fettling and despatching processes
  • Familiarity with Bradken's policies and procedures
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality
  • A proactive and safety-first mindset
  • Forklift license and Dogman ticket (desirable)
