Primary objective
Working with work unit managers, provide oversight and quality assurance of regional services, including the Accounts Receivable
function, ensuring efficient, compliant and consistent processes that support continuous improvement and effective service
delivery.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide strategic oversight, coordination and assurance of DCDD Regions functions, including Accounts Receivable (AR),

ensuring compliance with the Financial Management Act, Treasurer’s Directions and NT Government policies
2. Provide expert guidance and support to regional managers, staff, client agencies and senior officers.
3. Monitor AR service performance, analyse data, identify risks and opportunities and prepare evidence-based reports to support

informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
4. Develop and implement policies, procedures and work instructions that promote consistent and effective AR practices across

DCDD services.
5. Build and maintain effective relationships with client agencies, external stakeholders and internal work units to ensure

collaboration, communication and aligned service delivery.
6. Support staff through mentoring, knowledge sharing and analysis and delivery of training needs.
7. Lead audits, reviews and assurance activities, and contribute to strategic and operational projects to improve the efficiency,

sustainability and accountability of regions functions.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience in quality assurance processes, debt recovery or revenue management within a complex

environment.
2. Proven ability to provide expert advice and guidance on AR processes, financial compliance and risk management.
3. Experience in monitoring, evaluating and improving service performance, including creating and implementing policies,

procedures and operational improvements.
4. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, including experience developing staff capability and supporting high-performance

teams.
5. Proven analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills, with the ability to provide evidence-based recommendations.
6. High-level communication and interpersonal skills to produce high-level reports and effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders

and maintain collaborative relationships.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, ethical practice, respect,

accountability, impartiality, innovation and diversity.

Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, business administration or a related discipline.
