Senior Bookkeeper - Internal Finance

About The Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join an internal finance team within a professional services environment. Reporting to a supportive and approachable Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the Corporate Services team, providing high-quality financial support to a group of accounting professionals.

This role is suited to an experienced Bookkeeper or Finance Officer with strong Xero and payroll experience. It is not an entry-level position and requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering accurate and timely financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Daily bank and credit card reconciliationsProcessing debtor receipts and preparing bankingPreparation, processing, and payment of creditorsMonthly balance sheet and account reconciliationsPreparation and processing of fortnightly payroll for 100+ employeesTrust account management and associated documentationPreparation of year-end files for external auditorsPetty cash reimbursements and reconciliationsAssistance with general ledger maintenance, reporting obligations, and internal financial reportingSupport with filing, archiving, and general administrative duties as required

About You

Previous experience as a bookkeeper or in a finance/accounts roleStrong working knowledge of Xero and payroll processingHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work autonomously while also being a collaborative team playerSound judgement and a professional, service-focused approachPassionate about building a long-term career in finance within a people-focused environment
