We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Chefs to join our dedicated team and play a pivotal role in delivering the high standards that have made us a regional favourite for decades.

Position Overview:

The is a busy modern à la carte restaurant, we are looking for chefs to oversees the cold kitchen section, preparing and managing food items like salads, entrees, cold appetizers, ensuring meticulous food safety, hygiene, portion control, and stock management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the preparation of all menu items.

  • To ensure minimum kitchen wastage, plans and organises the preparation and cooking of food.

  • To assist in preparing, portioning, and garnishing foods to ensure that methods of cooking and garnishing and sizes of portions are as prescribed.

  • assists with the responsibility for the section he is working in, in the absence of the senior chef.

  • To ensure that all mis en place is completed in their section.

  • To ensure that all stock is rotated & labelled on a daily basic.

  • Follows the kitchen cleaning schedule on a daily basis to ensure kitchen is kept a clean working environment.

  • Complies with the Salsa Bar & Grill policies & procedures & food safety regulations.

  • Ensures that all deliveries are checked off & put away in their correct areas

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A passion for culinary innovation and a deep understanding of food trends and techniques.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining high standards.

  • Culinary qualifications or equivalent experience.

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent culinary qualification recognised in Australia.

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Commis Chef .

  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

  • Full working rights in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
