About the role

Bathurst Regional Council is seeking a Waste Collection Officer to operate Waste Collection Vehicles and support essential waste collection services across the Bathurst region.

This is a hands-on role involving operating waste collection vehicles, assisting with daily runs, and helping keep the community clean and safe.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, work to a clear schedule, and have the opportunity to build stable, long-term employment in local government while making a real difference in your community.

Essential Criteria

Current HR Driver's Licence Demonstrated basic mechanical and maintenance knowledge Proven experience in operating tipping trucks Proven experience in the operation of lifting equipment Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook

Salary:$1,075.30 – $1,129.81 + 12% superannuation Allowance of $50.43 per week.

Position Status:Permanent – Full-time

Hours of work:38 hours per week - RDO every three weeks
