We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Support Worker to assist a participant living with a spinal cord injury (SCI). You will be working as part of a 2:1 support team, alongside an experienced support worker provided by another service provider.
This role focuses on morning supports, ensuring the participant’s safety, comfort, and dignity while promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care support, including morning routines
- Assist with manual handling and hoist transfers (with support from experienced staff)
- Support the participant with mobility and daily living activities
- Follow individual support plans and risk assessments
- Maintain professional communication with the participant, family, and team
- Complete basic shift documentation and incident reporting as required
- Work collaboratively in a 2:1 support environment
Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting participants with spinal cord injury (SCI) is preferred but not essential
- Willingness to learn and follow safe manual handling and hoist procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Calm, patient, and respectful approach to care
- Reliable and punctual for early morning shifts
Mandatory Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Manual Handling & Infection Control training (or willingness to complete)
- Right to work in Australia

Pay: $32.56 – $40.00 per hour
