You’ll be leading security risk assessments, developing security plans, and providing expert advice on physical and technical security measures—all while working within a supportive and dynamic team.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to utilise your security expertise in a meaningful way, contributing to organisational safety and integrity. Plus, enjoy the stability of a long-term contract with competitive daily rates, and the opportunity to develop your skills in high-level security risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and deliver Security Risk Assessments (SRAs), site audits, and physical security assessments at various locations nationally.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and provide expert recommendations aligned with ISO 31000, PSPF, and organisational policies.
  • Develop and maintain Site Security Plans that account for safety, inclusion, and security needs.
  • Manage a national site risk register, tracking risk treatments and escalation of high-risk issues.
  • Provide authoritative advice on access control, CCTV, alarms, and other security infrastructure.
  • Create and implement testing regimes to verify security controls and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Develop practical security guides, procedures, and documentation to support risk-informed practices.
  • Maintain and update security policies in response to emerging threats and new technologies.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external providers to ensure efficient, compliant security solutions.

About You

  • Proven experience in physical or technical security, ideally within government, infrastructure, or regulated industries.
  • Skilled in conducting security risk assessments, audits, and security reviews.
  • Experienced in developing security plans, risk documentation, and technical specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic security systems and infrastructure dependencies.
  • Able to lead complex projects, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes independently.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of preparing clear reports and providing advice across all levels.
  • Track record of producing assurance reports confirming security installations meet Australian Government standards.

Benefits
In addition to a rewarding role that makes a real difference, you’ll enjoy a collaborative work environment, the opportunity to be involved in critical security initiatives, and the chance to develop your expertise in a national capacity. If you’re ready to make an impact in security risk management, we want to hear from you!
