What You’ll Be Doing

Using innovative, evidence-based education, as the MyStep to Mental Wellbeing Clinician, you’ll provide recovery‑focused mental health support to people with complex needs.

You Will

Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments and develop personalised care plans.Deliver evidence‑based therapeutic interventions including CBT, ACT, DBT and solution‑focused approaches.Work collaboratively through intake, case conferencing, joint sessions, and coordinated care with GPs, psychiatrists, allied health and community services.Support holistic wellbeing through physical health screening and medication effect monitoring.Manage and escalate risks to ensure consumer safety. Provide flexible support via face‑to‑face, telehealth and outreach across the region.Maintain accurate clinical documentation and required data reporting (PMHC‑MDS).

Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.

Criteria

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for membership with the appropriate professional association.Demonstrated ability to work within a consumer‑led, recovery‑oriented framework, supporting people with complex mental health needs.Proven experience conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and developing collaborative treatment and care plans with consumers, families and carersUnderstanding of relevant mental health legislation, guidelines, and the responsibilities relating to consumers, families and carers.Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution.
