ABOUT THE ROLE
5 days full time in the office - Pakenham Victoria
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our successful and growing team based in Pakenham, Victoria. This highly motivated individual will report directly to the Senior Corporate Accountant. Your day to day role will be to prepare the monthly financial and management reports including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis, as well as meet all statutory requirements. This role will partner with managers from Grove businesses, understanding key drivers to undertake analysis and provide commentary.Â
RESPONSIBILITES

Submission of Profit and Loss

Undertake Balance Sheet reconciliation

Completion of year end accounts

Achieving 100% on-time lodgment of all statutory compliance obligations

Preparation of monthly management reports including monthly accruals and balance sheet reconciliations, together with analysis of P&L and providing commentary.

Process all intercompany charges including overhead recharges, Credit Card expenses, Computer expenses, MV expenses, and Insurance.

Assist the Senior Accountant in preparing the monthly Group Consolidated Management Accounts (Financial Reporting Pack).

Assist with the preparation of financial budgets and forecasts.

Main contact for Audit engagement each year.

Assist with input functions, supporting processes and continuous improvements of finance processes and internal controls.

Assist with other finance tasks and ad hoc matters when required
ABOUT YOU
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting.

CA or CPA qualification.

Strong Technical Accounting knowledge with a few years experience

Attention to detail and excellent time management skills

Ability to meet deadlines
-
Ability to be objective and detailed during reporting

Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Advanced excel skills including financial modelling

Team player with good relationship building skills
-
High degree of skills and accuracy in financial reporting.
Experience and proficiency in using MYOB and Pronto ERP systems (desired), or similar systems.
