Position Overview

We are seeking a technically skilled and proactive IT Technician to support the organisation’s technology systems, infrastructure, and digital security. This role will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining IT systems, managing software and hardware, and assisting with the ongoing improvement of our digital processes. The ideal candidate is solution-focused, collaborative, and committed to maintaining secure and efficient IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, network, and system issues

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, devices, and network equipment

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access (Microsoft 365, cloud systems, CRMs, etc.)

  • Monitor and maintain IT security, data protection, and backup systems

  • Respond to and troubleshoot IT helpdesk tickets in a timely manner

  • Oversee updates, patches, and software licensing compliance

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees from an IT perspective

  • Maintain and update IT asset registers and documentation

  • Support the implementation of new technology systems and improvements

  • Conduct basic training and provide guidance to staff on ICT usage and cybersecurity

  • Liaise with external stakeholders and IT service providers as required

  • Assist with IT policies, procedures, and compliance (including NDIS and privacy requirements)

  • Support in the development and maintenance of digital systems including CRM, HR platforms, and internal tools

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Systems, or related field

  • Minimum 2 years experience in an IT support or systems administration role

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)

  • Good understanding of networking, cloud systems, and cybersecurity principles

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

  • Ability to work proactively and manage competing priorities

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Experience using or supporting NDIS-related systems, CRMs, or workforce management platforms

  • Previous experience working in the NDIS, disability, healthcare, or community services sector

  • Knowledge of IT compliance and data security relevant to privacy laws and NDIS standards

  • Experience with remote support and multi-location environments

  • Basic scripting or automation skills
