About The Opportunity

As a valued member of the Whole Family Team, you will work directly with families experiencing complex challenges to help them stay safely together. This is a community-based, therapeutic role, where support is primarily delivered in the family home across the Central Coast.

Your focus will be on building trusting relationships with parents and carers, supporting them to strengthen their parenting skills, improve family functioning, and create safer environments for their children. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, using trauma-informed and culturally safe approaches to promote healing, stability, and long-term wellbeing.

You will be part of a service that puts children’s safety at the centre, while also recognising the importance of supporting the whole family unit. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early intervention and committed to breaking cycles of violence, abuse, and neglect through compassionate, skilled, and consistent care.

This Role Is Suitable For The Following

Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2. Occupational Therapist Level 3. Psychologist. Social Worker Level 3.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Relevant qualifications and experience as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, or Social Worker. Experience working with vulnerable families, children, and young people, preferably in family preservation or child protection settings. An understanding of the impact of violence, abuse, and neglect on children and families, and able to apply a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and strengths-based approach. Skills in building trusting relationships with families, and demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect. A commitment to professional development and continuous learning to enhance your practice. Flexibility, resilience, and is able to manage complex and challenging situations with professionalism and compassion.
