About the role
Reporting to our Group Purchasing Manager, we are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our Gold Coast Head Office. The Purchasing Officer ensures our brides and showrooms have exactly what they need, right when they need it. You’ll manage purchasing and inventory with precision, while working closely with our factories and vendors to meet quality standards and deadlines. Your attention to detail and follow-through behind the scenes helps create seamless, memorable experiences for every bride.
About you

2–3 years’ experience as a Purchasing Officer, ideally within the retail industry.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong vendor relationships.

Experience working with international suppliers.

Highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Thrives under pressure, turning problems into actionable solutions.

Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering quality and an exceptional customer experience.

Experience with ERP and POS systems (Microsoft Dynamics BC & GP, Salesforce, Shopify highly desirable).

Strong Excel skills - immediate to advanced level.
Key responsibilities

Create and manage Purchase Orders for Australian and international suppliers.

Track deliveries, monitor production schedules, and follow up on delays with vendors.

Maintain clear communication with operations teams about order status and potential issues.

Process shipments, invoices, and packing lists accurately and efficiently.

Update shipment tracking sheets and coordinate warehouse transfers.

Manage faulty items and ensure timely replacements, keeping all stakeholders informed.

Build strong vendor relationships to prioritise orders and resolve issues.

Support retail stores and operations teams with product and pricing enquiries.

Coordinate warehouse team for stock receiving and dispatch.

Perform ad-hoc tasks to support the team as needed.
