Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking a clinician or clinically experienced professional to join our Digital Health team as a Senior Clinical Business Analyst. This role plays a critical part in ensuring clinical information systems effectively support frontline care, align with clinical workflows, and contribute to safe, high-quality, and efficient patient outcomes across our District.
About The Role
In this senior role, you will leverage your clinical knowledge and digital health expertise to bridge the gap between clinical practice and technology. You will work closely with clinicians, managers, vendors, and digital health teams to analyse workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and translate clinical requirements into fit-for-purpose system solutions.
You will provide both on-site and remote support to clinical staff, troubleshoot issues impacting daily operations, and participate in an on-call roster to support critical clinical systems. Your work will directly influence how technology supports patient safety, quality improvement, and service efficiency across HNELHD.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert clinical and business analysis support for clinical information systems across HNELHDAnalyse current clinical workflows and translate clinical requirements into business and functional specificationsSupport the implementation, optimisation, testing, and validation of new and enhanced clinical systemsWork collaboratively with clinicians, managers, digital health teams, and vendors to resolve system issues and support upgradesLead and contribute to change management, adoption, and continuous improvement initiativesDeliver education and training (on-site and remotely) to build clinical capability and confidence in digital systemsContribute to reporting, audit, research, and clinical trial requirements through enhanced data and reporting solutionsEnsure documentation, data quality, and governance standards align with NSW Health policies and clinical standards
About You
You are a clinician or clinically experienced professional with a strong interest in digital health and service improvement. You bring a deep understanding of clinical workflows and are motivated to influence how technology supports frontline care in a complex healthcare environment.
You Will Also Demonstrate
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in clinical systems, business analysis, or digital healthExperience supporting or delivering clinical information systems within a healthcare settingStrong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinicians, managers, and technical teamsExperience contributing to system testing, training, troubleshooting, and change adoption activitiesHigh-level communication, documentation, and problem-solving skillsA strong commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and customer-focused service delivery
