Bird in Hand is launching an exciting new food and wine experience within the iconic Royal Tasmanian Botanic Gardens. The venue will feature fine dining, casual dining, a tasting bar, kiosk service, and premium catering — and we’re building a passionate opening kitchen team to bring it all to life.
The Roles
We are currently seeking casual:

Chef de Partie

Commis Chefs

Kitchen Porters
You’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple outlets, including fine dining, casual dining, kiosk service, and catering events, working anything between 20-45hrs/week.
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in your relevant kitchen role

A genuine passion for food, local produce, and quality execution

Strong teamwork and communication skills

A positive, reliable attitude in fast-paced environments

Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and consistency

Ability to adapt and work across different service styles and venues
