Apprentice Diesel Mechanic

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop at Somersby.

Our workshop manages maintenance and repairs to the company’s modern fleet of Volvo and Isuzu Trucks, a variety of company motor vehicles and Linde Forklifts. In total our fleet consists of over 1,600 plant items, so there is plenty of variety and opportunity to learn.

To be successful in this role you need to be dedicated and strive to improve your knowledge and performance each and every day. Applicants must demonstrate a genuine interest in joining the automotive industry.

Becoming an Apprentice with Borg enables you to gain invaluable experience whilst getting paid to gain a national qualification. This is a hands-on apprenticeship, learning starts from day one. This role will be working afternoon shift, 2:30pm to 10:36pm Monday to Thursday.

To be successful in gaining this apprenticeship you will have:

• Completed year 10 at school

• Strong mathematical and problem solving skills

• A mechanical mindset

• Attention to detail quality and safety

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Strong computer literacy

• A drivers licence and reliable transportation to Somersby
