BDM Projects is a family owned commercial construction and shopfitting company, working alongside a dedicated in-house joinery operation. We deliver high quality projects across Queensland and interstate and are known for our reliability, craftsmanship, and long-standing client relationships.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who can confidently run projects end‑to‑end, communicate clearly and respectfully with a range of stakeholders, and ensure jobs are delivered and closed out to a high standard.

The Role

This is a full‑time, office‑based position: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with regular site visits and interstate travel when required.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing commercial construction and shopfitting projects from planning to final close out.

• Coordinating trades, schedules, budgets, and subcontractors.

• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and remain profitable.

• Maintaining strong client relationships and clear communication.

• Overseeing variations, RFIs, progress claims, and compliance documentation.

• Conducting site visits (local and interstate) to monitor progress and resolve issues.

• Ensuring WHS compliance and driving timely project close out.

About you

• Minimum 3 - 5+ years' experience in construction or shopfitting project management.

• Strong technical knowledge of building processes and site operations.

• Warm, confident communicator who works well with different personalities.

• Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects.

• Collaborative team player who enjoys a friendly, family‑run environment.

• Willing to travel to sites, including interstate.

• Australian citizenship required.
