“We are seeking Site, Project and Senior Project Engineers in Regional Qld – escape the rat race of the cities!”

The remote and rural areas of Australia have seen unprecedented expansion and hence Civil Infrastructure is front and centre in both private and public sectors. Whether it be mining and resources, transportation or urban developments, the work in hand and incoming is huge!

In2work are engaged by a number of Mid and Top Tier Contractors in the General Civil, Bulk Ews/mining support and Urban Development space, and all require Civil Engineering Professionals to Coordinate on-site engineering functions for the project to achieve time and budget objectives and provide efficient support for technical and construction activities!

Duties will include:

•             Direct and coordinate the activities of a project team, programme work loads and provide technical and administrative guidance to project staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved.

•             Ensure project completion is on time and within budget and record completed work, costs incurred; materials used and retain progress drawings.

•             Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards of supplier, subcontractor quotations/purchase orders as well as subcontractor agreements.

•             Meet the specific requirements of the clients and contractors quality system, procedures, and other relevant codes, standards and specifications.

•             Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Management Plan including the promotion of environmental awareness to project personnel and ensuring engineering environment controls are effective.

Roles:

1.       Site and Project Engineers x 5 and SPE x 2 – Bruce Hwy DTMR Works – Locations include Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg/Wide Bay. Mixture of Structures, Drainage and General Civil.

2.       Project Engineers x 2 – Urban Development  - Locations include Logan, Ipswich and Gold Coast.

3.       Project Engineers x 3, SPE x1  – Bulk Ews, Haul Roads and Tailing Dams – Locations include Newman, Port Headland, Bowen Basin and Karratha.

What we require:

-            The ability to commit to a FIFO Roster or relocate to a regional community

-            Experience in building teams and managing subcontractors and direct labour to successful outcomes

-            Excellent references

-            A history of long term engagements

-            Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering

-            Permanent residency
